Very strong information is that Mark Snowdon (Ex Shadwell Stud) will be between the sticks for Railway Tavern this coming season. He will replace Matt Barker, Player of the Season 2008/09, who has left the club. Another experienced player joining the club is Ross Bellingham, prolific goal scorer, winner of the Golden Boot in season in 2008 when with the Green Dragon. I understand that the club continues to pursue the talented and experienced Steve Harley to strengthen their assault for County honours.

As previously reported the possible return of Steve Harley to Sunday football gathers strength. He attended the final of the Florida Trophy yesterday and was heard to say that he likes the idea but it may depend on the attitude of his Saturday club. One club is confident that they will secure his signature … this story is set to run and run ………

Another rumour is that Shadwell Stud manager, Matt Spencer, may continue in management next season with Lakenheath Casuals following Shadwell’s notification to the league of their provisional decision to withdraw. If he does could that also be the destination of one or two ex Shadwell players?

Could one of the most talented players (my personal opinion) in this area return to Sunday football next season? I hear that Steve Harley is mulling over a possible return with

either Railway Tavern or Red Lion the possible beneficiary.
